Core Strategy Interim Position Statement February 2009

Welcome to the  Interim Position Statement for the Core Strategy of the West Oxfordshire Local Development Framework.

The Core Strategy will guide where and what development is located in West Oxfordshire through to 2026.  This interim position statement presents the likely approach to key strategic issues facing West Oxfordshire but particularly the housing and employment strategy and our response to climate change. The content will form the basis of the Core Strategy. 

Consultation on the Core Strategy So Far document was held from 20th February 2009 to 6th April 2009 during which a questionnaire survey was conducted and general consultation comments were encouraged. The consultation document, and responses received from a variety of stakeholders can now be viewed. A summary of all responses is currently being produced and will be available to view on this website in the coming weeks. If you would like to view a paper copy of the document these are available at the Council's Elmfield Office, Witney and Chipping Norton Town Centre Shops and public libraries throughout the District.
