Mrs Arcanum In the current economic climate the financial support for shared ownership mortgages is disappearing making more social rented housing the only alternative. People need stability of housing to settle in an area and support the local economy. 24 Jan 2011 16:53
Deleted User Meeting housing needs is no more important than meeting employment needs. The council seems driven to address the former while not interested in the latter. 24 Jan 2011 17:03
rubymalvolio No objection to new housing, the plan has almost nothing in it to improve the already poor road network. 25 Jan 2011 22:27
bobdalembe06 Places Like Middle Barton and other far flung villages housing needs have been ignored for far to long and need addressing urgently 31 Jan 2011 09:09
broscoe As some one who expressed interest in afforable housing on this farm I think the land valuation underlying this policy needs revision. The valuations indicated to me were less than the value of the land if I sold it as a pony paddock 04 Feb 2011 11:45
David Davenall I do not think the integration of affordable housing with market value properties has worked in the Madley Park development and would urge greater consideration be given to future plans. 04 Feb 2011 15:37
Deleted User Let's look at using non green land where possible.Let's look at how the MOD uses it's land.Do so many houses have to be in either Witney or Carterton? Using your figures only approx 290 new houses have to be built each year for 15 years to meet your target in all of the towns and villages in West Oxon.Surely there is capacity to spread this out more both in location and over time.It appears that people will essentially be forced to live in either Witney or Carterton as there are no alternatives. 07 Feb 2011 17:29

jfl46 It's putting the cart before the horse. If the quality of life in west oxfordhire is to mean anything in future the council must first address the other important issues that are a pre-requisite for further development. 15 Feb 2011 14:42
