Do you have any comments on the vision and strategy for the future?

I am amazed that nowhere that I could see in any of the reports, was there any mention of a final resting place ie: cemetery for future residents in and around Carterton. This is something that will be vital to the community in years to come and should be considered as a priority.

2

Do you have any comments on the strategy for Witney?

Witney is expanding far too quickly and is already losing its identity.

3

Do you have any comments on the strategy for Carterton?

Carterton West is NOT an option. The area is too far from the town to be useful and all the grand ideas that have been put forward would turn it into another Broadshire Development.

4

The Council is proposing further growth at Carterton, either to the east or west of the town. Which of these areas do you prefer and why?

Carterton East is by far the best option.

5

Do you have any comments on the strategy for Chipping Norton?

CHIPPING NORTON should be considered as an option even though David Cameron lives near there.

6

Do you have any comments on the meeting specific housing needs strategy?

What concerns me greatly is, to build anywhere that is liable to flood, would not only be foolish but also extremely irresponsible and selfish. The water from fields has to have a run-off somewhere. The misery for property to be flooded is not only AWFUL but EXPENSIVE TOO.

7

Do you have any comments on the use of existing buildings strategy?

By all means this would be a sensible option.

8

Do you have any comments on the economy and town centres strategy?

NO!

9

Do you have any comments on the environment and sustainable development strategy?

PLEASE DON'T OVERLOAD THE COUNTRYSIDE WITH MORE AND MORE HOUSES. Everyone needs large green areas to enjoy. For walking, cycling, horse-riding and outdoor activities. Bird watching and nature need protecting. Don't build on everything green

10

Do you have any comments on the transport and movement strategy?

The roads around Carterton cannot take an increase of cars or public transport.

11

Do you have any comments on the infrastructure strategy?

This whole area is extremely sensitive and any planning for the future must be considered with caution.

12

Other comments

DCS242 My overall comment is to consider where people will be buried and PLEASE DO NOT build anywhere that is liable to flood and disrupt people's homes and businesses.
