Zinc Building, Broadshires Way, Carterton

West Oxfordshire District Council (‘’the council’’) has made a direction under article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development)(England) Order 2015 relating to the Zinc Building on Broadshires Way, Carterton.

The Direction means that the permitted development rights to change the use of the Zinc Building from Office to Residential, through the prior approval process, have been withdrawn with immediate effect and any future change of use will require a full planning application. The Council has made this Immediate Direction as it is concerned that the potential loss of the Zinc Building from employment use would prejudice the proper planning of the district as currently the change of use would be contrary to the Council’s adopted and emerging planning policy.

The details of this direction are set out below. Please use the 'add a comment' button if you wish to highlight any issues about the making of this direction.
