I think it is an excellent document. It strikes me as realistic and well thought through. I particularly endorse its repeated emphasis on economic sustainability and the importance of conserving the beautiful natural and built heritage of West Oxfordshire.

The Shilton Parish Council (SPC) has considered the published WODC Draft Local Plan (The Plan) and believes that it contains policies and proposals that are damaging to the Parish of Shilton. The draft demonstrates no worthwhile planning for this quarter of the District. Furthermore, important issues are not faced and no remedies are proposed and so the Plan appears to be an aspiration without solutions to the needs of the community. As such it is not a plan but it is a permissive dream in favo

SUMMARY OF OBJECTIONS In particular, Pye Homes is still very concerned at the low level of housing being proposed by WODC for the District and in the Rural Area, compared with the level of need which has been identified by the most recently available Government household projections. Pye Homes principal message to WODC as part of its response to the draft Local Plan is that it can offer a sustainable development opportunity at Eynsham which can meet a local need for housing, whilst respectin

SUMMARY OF OBJECTIONS In particular, Pye and Blenheim are still very concerned at the low level of housing being proposed by WODC for the District and in the Rural Area, compared with the level of need which has been identified by the most recently available Government household projections; and, very concerned about the absence of a positive planning policy context for supporting the maintenance and restoration of the Blenheim Palace World Heritage Site (WHS), which is arguably the District's
