The plan is comprehensive in its scope and its Policies and Objectives are clearly defined.  I am largely in agreement with the policy statements and the objectives contained within the Plan.  I do however, believe that many proposals in the plan fail to meet these criteria.  I shall try to cover the most significant shortfalls, especially those that relate to the Carterton sub area.

The local plan makes mention of the Carterton Masterplan: Paragraph 9.3.59 Quote: Carterton town Council has expressed a clear desire to increase the supply of business land in Carterton in order to attract inward investment, increase job opportunities and reduce levels of out-commuting. This aim is a key theme of the emerging masterplan for the town.
